HBO Max is an American streaming platform offered by AT&T’s WarnerMedia. Debuted in spring 2020, the direct-to-consumer service bundles all of HBO together, offering 10,000 hours of curated premium content on launch, a robust slate of original new series (Max Originals), third-party licensed programs and movies, and fan favourites from Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, Looney Tunes and more.
Prior to launch, I had the chance to work closely with the merchandise team — including Richard Jennings, SVP of Design at WM, and Chihiro Nishihara, Senior Art Director at HBO — in spearheading the development of innovative premium products (HBO Max Swag) across WarnerMedia employees and partners, directing product-sourcing efforts, and implementing key creative decisions on style guides. Within just under four months, we had designed a wide collection of roughly 200 exclusive products. The following are some of my original designs on official merchandise that have been launched* and additional designs that were presented as initial concepts during the first internal phase of HBO Max Swag.
